Thinking of owning a Zorse? Make sure you do lots of research before hand to make sure one is the right fit for you. Zorses are extremely challenging animals that take an extremely experienced patient equine handler and lots of dedication. In order to get a good tame one they must have the proper start from birth. Zorse tend to be flighty,timid and over reactive even with handling from day one. Due to being half wild animal their first response is often flight at first until they realize they are not going to be harmed. They will have a lot of behavior You would see in a feral horse. You must really build trust with them. They tend to bond strongly with their owners but like zebras tend to take some time to warm up to strangers. In the right hands zorses can be trained to ride.
